Deirdre McNamer is a Montana native and the author of four novels: Rima in the Weeds, One Sweet Quarrel, My Russian and Red Rover. Her stories, articles, reviews and essays have appeared in venues that include the New Yorker, the New York Times, Ploughshares, and Outside magazine. She has long taught fiction-writing in the University of Montana's MFA and undergraduate creative-writing programs, and is also on the faculty of the Bennington College Writing Seminars. She lives in Missoula.
