10:00     Page to Screen: Adapting books to film with Andrew Smith and special guest Annick Smith

11:00      Perspectives on Publishing: Literary agent Kirby Kim and editor Patrick Thomas, along with special guests Malcolm Brooks and Amy Leach

12:30     Lunch

1:30       "Creature Comforts": Amy Leach, Todd Davis and Derek Sheffield read lyric essays and poems that attend to our non-human companions, followed by brief Q&A

2:30      “Questions of Travel”: Sam Michel and David Allan Cates read fiction and discuss how their extensive travels to South America have informed their work

 4:00      Open Mic with M.C.  Peter Mulvey

5:30       Cocktail Hour with music by Peter Mulvey

2:30      “Alternate Routes to the Book”: journalists-turned-authors Jo Deurbrouk and Brad Tyer discuss their paths to publication   

4:00      The State of the Short Story”: MT writers Kevin Canty and Callan Wink read short fiction, followed by a Q&A
